New Year’s Resolutions
—Allow myself to be honest - both with myself and with others. Be more open to my emotions, and be more open to difficult conversations, or loving conversations; embrace my emotions and see them through until they are resolved or fulfilled.
—Be kinder to others, and to myself.
—Treat myself to facials, massages, and manicures more often (that sounds superficial, but they’re so relaxing and it’s nice to pamper yourself)
—Study harder, work harder.
—Advocate for myself more.
—Donate more money and/or time to organizations or charities that are important to me.
—Talk my dog for more walks, and for longer walks.
—Be better at making an effort to hang out with my friends - take time out of my insane schedule to see them.
—Give more time to myself and not spend all my energy on pleasing everyone else - I want to commit to at least one hour a day where I do whatever the hell I want, no matter how much homework I have, or how many people need my help. Sometimes you have to say no.
—Stress less. It’s not worth it. I need to relax and learn to cherish these moments, because they’re learning experiences and I will never have these experiences again.
—Love more fully, and allow myself to be loved.
—Work out more - whether it is walking, weight training, or cardio. Doesn’t matter, as long as I do something.
—Be a better me.
Happy 2012, everyone!! I hope it brings you joy, blessings, and health. Be kind, especially to those who don’t deserve it. Love yourself, love others. Speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves. AND HAVE FUN for God’s sake. We only get this journey once.
